Barb Holland is a professional home economist and food writer. As a professional foodie, Barb Holland is usually eating, cooking, grocery shopping, or writing.
As a freelance food writer, Barb has written for a number of publications over many years: Metro News and Toronto Star newspapers, Homemaker's, Canadian Living and Food News Magazines.
Barb edits recipes for magazines and cookbooks and creates recipes for a variety of clients and venues.
Barb works behind and in front of the camera in many a TV studio - always with food. As a media spokesperson, she has done countless live and taped TV cooking demonstrations. As a food stylist behind the scene, she has prepared food for the likes of Mark Bittman, Debbie Fields (Mrs. Fields Cookies), Roch Voisine and Anne Lindsay.
Barb has been honoured with the Sally Henry Memorial Award from OHEIB (Ontario Home Economists in Business) and the Marjorie Thompson Flint Honour Award from the Toronto Home Economics Association for her accomplishments and contributions to the profession of Home Economics.
